The bus system can be a good alternative to taxis or private transfers, especially for the budget conscious traveller.
The bus station is directly outside the Departures entrance, on the second floor of the terminal building. From there you can catch either local buses or intercity buses (to destinations including Benidorm, Murcia, Torrevieja and Santa Pola).
This runs every 20 minutes, every day of the year and is served by stops at the airport, train station and other useful points along the route. You can use this bus to connect with the Metro tram service at either the “Alfonso X El Sabio” or “Plaza de los Luceros” stops.

This route, in one direction connects the airport to Torrellano and Elche and then in the other direction with the beach at El Altet and Arenales del Sol.
